These terms apply to plumbing, drainage and gas fitting work carried out by Anthony Martin Plumbing & Gas Fitting (ABN 50 281 791 592), NSW Contractor Licence 283413C. They sit alongside the written quote for your job. Where a quote or a signed contract says something different, that document applies.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes are based on the information you give us and on what we can see at the time. They are valid for 30 days. If we find something that could not reasonably be seen when quoting, such as pipework inside a wall or under a slab, we will stop, explain the options and agree the cost with you before continuing.
Prices shown anywhere on this website are general information only. They are not a quote.
Call-outs and after-hours work
A call-out fee applies to attendance and is confirmed when you book. Urgent and after-hours work is charged at a higher rate, which we will tell you before we attend.
Payment
Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit before ordering materials, and for progress payments as stages are completed.
Materials supplied remain our property until the invoice is paid in full.
Access to the property
Please make sure we can safely reach the work area, that pets are secured, and that someone over 18 is available if we need decisions made. If we attend at the agreed time and cannot get access, a call-out fee may still apply.
Variations
If you ask for extra work once we are on site, we will confirm the additional cost with you before doing it wherever practical, and it will be added to the invoice.
Warranty
We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from completion. Materials and appliances carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which we will pass on to you.
These warranties are in addition to, and do not limit, the statutory warranties under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, by work carried out by someone else, by tree roots or ground movement, or by normal wear on existing pipework we did not install.
Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a booking, please give us as much notice as you can. Where we have already ordered materials or held time for your job, we may charge for those costs.
If something is not right
Call Anthony on 0419 696 922 as soon as you notice a problem and we will come back and look at it. Most things are sorted quickly with a conversation. If we cannot resolve it between us, NSW Fair Trading offers a free dispute resolution service.
